Not much to it really. You place your installation package on a server in your network and share out the
folder its in. Then from any workstation you can invoke the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel applette.
Then when that prompts you for the program location to execute you can browse to the network share you
created and select your installation package.

The way i have seen it, like in Norton AV corp, you can deploy the application to any computer on the network from the central server without interaction from the clients. I tried to find out how it worked but all i found out was that it used the ADMIN$ share. I hope that makes it a little clearer?
Thanks

Ah! Much clearer. You want to duplicate nortons "LiveUpdate" utility and incorporate it into
your own program?

Its not liveupdate, i wish to install the application from scratch via a network, without any previous components or programs being installed.
Thanks for the feedback

Ok, then your talking about pushing out the installation of your program accross a network without
user interaction or approval?

Well no not without an user interaction or approval, but as the share has NTFS security I don't want to use this for illegitimate reasons.
RobDog888 do you know of an installer program that does this or would i have to write the 'push mechanism' myself?
Thanks

John, I wasnt insinuating that this may be for something illegal. I was more meaning how McAffee's ePolicy feature
works with its antivirus. It pushes updates out to every system that is on the network when they logon. No user
interaction required
I was thinking of something similar for you, but you would still need to write it unless someone else knows of some
sofware that can handle this for you.

No prob. I still think you should check out Wokawidgets example since it should help you
if you end up writting your own.
