writing integer to registry?

Hi,

I used the code to access the registry as found at:

http://www.vbworld.net/registry/registry2/index5.html

However, it keeps giving me a type mismatch error when I try to use it to store
a number.

So my question is, how can I store an integer (not a string) to the registry?

I would appreciate an example which writes the number 1 to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\test\testkey".

When you get the value back from the registry can't you just

That writes a string, not an integer. I need to use the value in a setting to delect the appropriate option in a control array and the value needs to be an integer, not a string.. Even though your code writes a 1 to the registry, it is stored as a string, not an integer..

How would I store it as an integer? Doesn't it have to something with writing a DWORD?

Silly me...Yes, change REG_SZ to REG_DWORD (32-bit number).
