SQL Server 2000 CE installation
Hello everybody
I have been using SQL Server 2000 for my database needs some time now. Recently, I`m trying to develop a .NET Compact database application on an iPaq (Windows Mobile 2003).
I know that I need the SQL Server 2000 CE edition. Is this just an upgrade to SQL Server 2000 which I can download or do I need to purchase a new DBMS?
thx, in advance

Re: SQL Server 2000 CE installation
If you write practically ANYTHING in the VS .NET Compact Framework, and test it on an actual PDA, SQL Server CE will be loaded onto your PDA during the first test.
Basically, you don't need to buy squat!
Having said that, I am having second thoughts. I am using the VS Ent Arch, and this may only be true for VS Pro and on up, so if you have the cheapest version of VS, you may have to test it to see if it is true.
