I need to get some classes that are only found within the j2ee plus some other classes that are not found within the j2ee or the sdk. What i need is Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.1 2005Q1 UR1. Since j2ee dosen't contain the classes from the j2sdk you have to download the J2SE 1.4.2
separate but i have jdk1.5.0.
I tried running the installation.exe for the System Application Server Platform Edition but i get an invalid page fault on a .dll file. It seems i have two of the same .dll that is producing the page fault. One is in C:\windows\system and the other is in C:\programfiles\Java\jre1.5.0_01\bin. Im thinking that it's a version
issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

Im gonna try downloading the j2ee1.4 sdk which contains the j2se1.4.2 sdk plus the Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.1. 123mb download takes seven hours on dial up though. :(

Why wouldn' the jdk 1.5 contain the classes that previous versions have?

j2ee dosen't contain any classes from the sdk's. I thought it might but it's just an extension.
What im doing now is just downloading everything separate. The all in one bundle http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/download.html#sdk just takes way too long. Which means i have to scrap j2sdk1.5 dl j2se1.4.2 then dl sun java system application server cause i don't think i can run the latter with any version of of sdk above 1.4.2.

Does it not overwrite these .dll files during installation?

To be honest im not sure what's supposed to happen. Until i get the j2se1.4.2 and the sun java system application server i won't know if the problem was using a different version sdk. Jesus 1:45 left on this dl.

Seems win 98 is not in the supported operating systems list for System Application Server Platform Edition. Dam.
