Within the Statistics tab in File/Properties it shows a Created date. Is this date 100% accurate as to when the document was first created?

I'm pretty sure it is and am trying to find some official Microsoft documentation to support it but I'm really struggling. I can't find anything on the Microsft website or in Word bible books.

Has anyone seen any documentation on this? If so, I'd really appreciate something giving me a link.

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum, wasn't sure which one to post in!

I dont see the point? it's supposed to be the time the folder was created, as its name suggests. Now you're ASSUMING that you may be wrong and you're trying to prove or disprove that assumption? practicing logic?:D

I am pretty sure it says the time on the computer that MADE it. Makes it pretty funny when you get files from other time zones. Just look at the creation date and modified time of this file I just got from England.

None of the file information can be depended on. I have seen software that changes that creation date.

In VS.NET, the framework provides you with a simple method that allows you to do it in 1 line of code.
