would be nice to have an thread editor that does auto wraps to a certain character so we don't get posts with looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong lines that force you to horizontal scroll way right...

would be cool if we could send in our own smilies for acceptance by the moderators or whoever.

would be convenient if the thread editor also had a few buttons added to paste in the format codes for bold, italics, code blocks etc.

I'm kinna lazy ;)

1: Threads only get fat when code is posted, and we don't want it to be autowrapped. (leave it to the poster)

2: Nice idea...my suggestion is a wobbly-mouthed smilie for when you've had a little too much to drink...:)

3: What's the point? It's faster to type the codes in ;)

The point is how fast you type - fast or (like me) slooow.

My idea is that the command btn would insert the whole code block so you'd only have to type in the rest.

For smilies I would suggest the following:

mean looking growl - when yer fed up tryin' to find a solution
big google eyes for when yer really surprised
a big open mouth
a fender stratocaster or fast musical note - for when code really rocks
a stop sign - for when a thread ought to end or to get attention
a recycle symbol for when a solution's been posted before on another thread
a pic of Alfred E Newman
a 'hat's off' for great answer to tough problem
a smiley with big cigar for congradulations
a blush for embarassment
a clown smiley
...
ckeck here (http://203.12.232.47/96five_forum/faq.asp) for some examples.

And how about animated smilies!?

the possibilities are vast...is anyone taking this down? ;)
