network help!!
this is kind of a PC/Xbox network question. No i'm not trying to network xbox pc together, its more of a network topology question really.
In my house i have a fairly unusuall network setup. I have a Wired Router, a Wireless router set up as an access point, and a hub connecting them. I have the hub because i had a 50 foot ethernet cable but didn't want to buy longer Xover cable. So i have the the 50 foot ethernet running from the wired router to the hub located in the middle of my house, then i have a 20ft xover connecting hub to wireless. Now I have on the wired router 2 computers an 1 xbox connected, on the hub 1 computer connected, and wirelessly 2 notebooks and an xbox(via wireless).
I have a problem with the two xbox's finding each other on the network, i feel it's a problem getting through the hub. But the deal is, the wireless notebooks can find all the wired computers though. So i'm confused why that works, but the xbox's don't. They do recognize each other if both plugged into the same router though, and the wireless xbox can connect to xbox live.
any suddestions?
