I have lost my toolbar which is between the the start button and icons. Can anyone help me get it back

it's called "Quick Launch"
right click on the task bar (the area in the bottom of the screen :) )
then click on "Toolbars" and choose Quick Launch. You can choose different toolbars though, but usually quick launch is the only one appearing there
