Im planing on making a model viewer for a game called Rogue Spear. I have the file formats, where do you people suggest I start? Is DX the best way to go?

I have no real 3D programming experience. Thanks

Yeh, I got your email.

I know the guy who wrote that program, and I even have the source code to that program.

If you ever used the ModelViewer for HL, then you know what I want to do. Have a DirectX window with the model in it.

Anyone have a good DX tutorial?

Need help? What are the file formats? I can help a little with the file parsing(maybe), and I am pretty good with 3D stuff. I am currently designing a GFX engine, If one of the models are in .3DS(3DStudio) or .MDL(Half-Life Model file) formats, then the parsing's already done. Email me at warmaster199@Hotmail.com Check my engine(I3D) out at http://www.geocities.com/warmaster2000us If you're interested in me helping with your model viewer, Email me. If you do email me, please tell me what formats you're using.
