I have a scheduled task on a Windows 2000 Server that doesn't start. It was working when we had our LAN set with a Workgroup, but we changed to a domain and we're getting this error now:

The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task failed, therefore, the task did not run. The specific error is :
0x8007052e : Logon failure : Unknown user name or bad password.
Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try again.

Anyone got an idea?

Did you try going to the task's properties (Control Panel - Scheduled Tasks - right-click - Properties) and resetting the password?

Thanks, it is working now.

The user was Server\username and it has to be domain name\username

Lol, I've seen this many times. In Windows 98, everybody complained the error messages didn't tell you anything. Windows 2000 + have all these good error messages that tell you the problem, and noone reads them lol :bigyello:
