I'd agree at the moment its just acting normal for me.
Is anyone else using your T1 connection? That maybe it if someone is downloading loads of stuff

Obviously I'm not the only one using it but rest of internet access is just fine ...

Yea my mistake, VBF just flipped out a couple minutes ago and now everything is slow here.....I guess it was waiting for me to say it was working fine before it broke .

Wonder if its to do with 150 members being on-line?
The server averages are around 2.00 aswell which is a canny bit more than normal.

I have noticed that it slows down when we get around 100+ members on-line.

It works great for me now...but an hour ago or a bit more, I had to quit browsing VBF. It took me a couple of minutes to the to the reply page. I was going to post it here, but it was so slow, that I never came to this section. So I got bored and did something else in stead.
But it looks like it is working fine now.

As of now it's back to normal despite we do much more business ... so I also wonder if it's got to do with number of VBF concurrent users ...

I remember when I first came to VBF it always ran nice and fast.
Since the forum upgrades any thread with more than 10 posts takes way to long to load. The replies take forever to load. It always seems to take way to long. Probably because everyone has an avatar pic.
I am using a simple Cable connection.
The time of day never seems to effect the speed of these forums, nor the number online -- at least for me.
They are just big pages...takes awhile to parse.

VBF was flaky yesterday. Took forever to do anything. I'd open up a new page and go to my homepage just to make sure that my dsl didn't go down, and i had no problems with any other site. seems ok now, but i think it was sick.

Yesterday i couldn't simply get the main page to load so i just gave up. I have dial up but i know it wasent my connection.

It happends every single day and is annoying the heck of me but I wouldn't bother reporting any longer -can't change behaviour anyway.
However for the sake of truth - I agree about older version being faster and it is noticeable whith dial-up connections.

Yes, I've heard you Rhino and responded on the reputations more than once. It isn't going away, nearly everyone likes them.
As to the speed, I'll ask our sys admins to look into this and to see if the same issue is occurring on forums we have with higher traffic.
Brad!

That was not related to reputation what so ever but since you've mentioned - it has to be optional and I will repeat that as many times as necessary regardless of value of "nearly everyone". I also know that many agree with me but don't care saying it.
I don't read people's signatures, I like invisible mode and some other options so HOW IS IT that reputation IS NOT OPTIONAL ??? What's the difference ??? You like it so much - you can have it, I hate it - WHY SHOULD I have it ??? But I realize that this is your new baby ...
Best regards ...

Brad!Brad, I don't know how these things work, but could it be one of the servers? I ask because every once in a while when I go to enter VBF, IE seems to just hang. I supose it could be the "very slow" behavior people have reported but I don't know because I don't wait around. I just close that window and try again and it always gets me right in.

I have tried to notise how many is on. And one day we where 140 (with guests) and then there was no slow doew, then later the same day we where 101 (with guests) and then there was a big slow down. Time outs and all that....
Can it have something to do with many uploading stuff at the same time?
