Minoritys and special treatment
This topic cause's riots, and always will. First I must point out I'm as white as a cracker and I have absolutely no problem with anyone of any color or any nationality, in fact I am interested in people from other backgrounds.
I am not sure if this touches anyone else but remember the 90's...all minorities got beat on and prosecuted almost indefinetly by the police all the time (especially blacks in US and natives in Canada). The 90's in my opinion also proved the end to racism. My generation especially (i'm 20) the majority of us are in no way racist although of course there is always someone. The only racism I see lately is when you are argueing with someone of a different race and they assume you are argueing with them because they are of a different race, which is terrible; Assume I call a native who is holding onto crack in his hand a crack head he may say the only reason I say that is cause he's native. Well no he's obviously a crack head just like all the white people around here, he is no different and requires no special treatment.
Well right now where I live we just had a case of two cops taking a drunk native and dropping him off a few kilometres from his home; the native froze to death...the two cops were in jail for awhile and of course lost their jobs. This case caused a huge surge of natives saying the cops are racists. So a native CONFESSES to killing a women the other day but the judge threw out the confession because he says "it was obtained inappropriately, the cops told him to confess and show some remorse." The lawers then pushed to have the case dropped and bam a killer is let loose. Another case in a town over where a native killed a women; 1 witness to the crime and she was found dead in a house fire (arsen) just a few days ago; they have all the proof in the world but the judges won't hear the case, they won't take it trial they say there is not enough evidence....I know why--the judges are scared!!!
In Canada a judge is appointed for life and loose's his privilage to vote (for obviouse political reasons)...So the judges here have no reason to fear being bias or racist; they just simply aren't...They are scared, anyone trying to arrest or prosecute a minority in this area of Canada seems to loose their job, family, respect and is immediatly labelled racist.
In any of those above case's, if the guy was white there would have been no debate, no calls of racism it would have simply been another white scum killing his woman. Well in my opinion NO ONE is different we are ALL EQUAL and anyone of any race should be tried EQUALLY but the fear of being bias or racist towards minorities have actually caused the minorities to achieve a level above any non-minority. In case of letting the killer go cause his confession was 'ill gotten', every native who could get their face on TV said "PUT HIM AWAY FOREVER".... So I ask anyone who wishes to reply, how is that a minority group previously disrespected and prosecuted unfairly can rise up and turn the unfair prosectution around to cheat the legal system, even though the people of the same race agree with everyone else.
Anyone notice this unbalanced justice where they live? Care to she any examples?
On another un-related note a women in Saskatoon on Canada Day earlier this year was drunk driving, got into an accident, killed 4 people in her car and a mom and a son in the other car...She was the only survivor and only got 10 years (5 years chance of parole, and in Canada parole is almost guaranteed)...I aint sure what race she is and I don't care, she should be in jail FOREVER.
