How to restore backup?

Hi every body

I have an application that allow to make backups. My
problem is that when I want my application to restore one of those backuped files, an error occur saying that I can't
overwrite the destination file because the file is already
in use. How can I restore the file? An example would be
very appreciated

Make sure you aren't using any file you are trying to restore (e.g. close the database that your program is using).
