    Please excuse me for being rather stupid, but what exactly is a Crystal Report, and what do you use it for?

    Seagate Crystal Reports is a report generator tool you use to create a custom report. It allows you to format the report, group and order data, make dinamic calculations, etc. Then you can use that report from a VB application, to print some data.

    Earlier versions of VB came with a version of Crystal Reports as part of the product. Now you have to purchase Crystal Reports directly from Seagate Software.
