Delphi, not so bad!!!
I am doing my first Delphi project for university.
After all the bad press it has got in this forum, my experience with it so far has been quite pleasant. Using Delphi 5, the IDE, is a little awkward and the event handlers, although different from VB, give you scope to do more complex things, such as assigning an object method as an event handler. The object orientated side of it is also quite good too, I would say it is more OO than VB 6 which I would just call object based.
Although very similar to VB 6, in my opinion, Delphi's biggest plus is that it gives you easy access to the Windows API, whereas in VB6 you are constantly fighting with a crashing IDE.
