    Is anybody aware of any issues caused by using exe packers on ActiveX ocx and dll files?

    Compressing ANY executable

    The last UK edtion of PCW had an article on this, I can hunt it out and append it's answer to this one tomorrow.

    I think it boils down to the fact that uncompressing the OCX's and DLL's means that they are then resident in the memory all the time, rather than loading and unloading as needed. Less of a problem with OCX's than DLL's.
