    Resolved Lost Internet [RESOLVED]

There was work done on the DSL over the weekend, and it kept us down yesterday. Today, it was still down, and the ISP says that the line checks out fine.

Static DSL -> Cisco Firewall -> Switch and Static IP's for the desktops.

Nobody knows the password for the firewall, and DHCP has been turned off on the modem. I couldn't connect my laptop to the modem, and the firewall logs on to the modem.

Tomorrow, we're getting a replacement Firewall, and I bought a console cable to be able to log on to the modem.

The switch is working fine for the other half of the network, which is indepenant, based on a Unix system. Desktops require static IP's to be able to print to Unix printer (I'm not sure if this is necessary)

Q What do you think could have happened?
    Things worked right for years
Q Should I change the modem to DHCP?.

I have a plan of attack, but I am just venting here, to see it in print, and to see if anyone has any comments, or any hints to give me on setting things up again?
