Motherboard PCI Type

I was about to buy a new modem when I noticed this text.
This modem requires a PCI slot V2.2 or newer and will not work (card not detected) in machines with V2.1 or older type slots.
Anyone know how I check this? :confused:

check the motherboard's website, or else use a program that will tell you about the system resources.
then again, you could just buy the modem to see (ducking) :bigyello:
