Looking for Email formatting suggestions
I'm starting a new task and wanted to solicit suggestions in case someone has already done something similar. I'm not looking for anyone to do my work. I just don't want to reinvent the wheel.
I need to format the body of an Email in Outlook 2002, no attachments. I've got examples of mail merges, exporting Excel, writing directly to the body of an Email to start with. The problem I need to deal with is the body of the Email needs to be dynamic and the format has been dictated by someone else.
It needs to look something like this:
Appointment Confirmations
Appt Appt
Date Time Claimant Claim # Doctor
10/26/200 10:00 AM Smith,John 12345 Dr. Smith
Report Confirmations
Appt Appt
Date Time Claimant Claim # Doctor
10/26/200 10:00 AM Smith,John 12345 Dr. Smith
Addendum Confirmations
Appt Appt
Date Time Claimant Claim # Doctor
10/26/200 10:00 AM Smith,John 12345 Dr. Smith
I can't show it here but items are underlined, bold, and italicized. There can be many detail lines for each category or none.
Right now I'm testing formatting a richtextbox and pasting it into the Email. It works but it seems very cumbersome. I'm considering trying HTML but I've never used it before.
Suggestions or links to projects would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You can use formatting on the forums. Just look at the dropdowns
above the reply box.

RobDog888,
I'm missing something about your reply. The process gets the appointments, reports, and addendum from a database and the project will run as a batch process with no user intervention.
By the way, I'm still working with the cut and paste solution you gave me and I'm getting good at formatting a RichTextBox. I'm probably going to go with that.
I just wanted to get some feedback from people that have "been there, done that".

Tyson his remark about the formating was inreference to being able to format your text IN THE POST, not email. There are some formatting buttons above the reply box. Like B and I and U.... which stand for Bold, Italics, and Underline. They will auto put the codes around your text for you.

You cant set the bodyformat as rtf and just format the data
as you append to the body property of the email?
