Windows Server 2003 & Network Printers

I've been tinkering with using Windows Server 2003 as a print and file server for my local network. Whenever I add my printer (cheap-ass Lexmark Z515), and then try to print from it, it just says "Invalid Handle" or "The Handle is Invalid"

If I delete all the printers, and then plug the Lexmark back in, Windows detects it but creates an empty printer (No name, no properties....all I get are errors when trying to do anything with this automatically added printer). If I install the printer manually on USB then everything seems to go fine, but when I try to print something it just gives back the invalid handle errors.

I have the most updated drivers for this printer.

Any suggestions?

is it compatible with Windows 2003 (or W2K)? I had an old Lexmark that wasn't compatible with W2K, I had to trade with my cousin for his printer, which was.

hmmm....its compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP, but it doesn't say anything about Windows Server 2003.

see if its on m$'s site for compatible hardware. mine wasn't on the list. i tried it anyways, and it didn't work. the driver also didn't specify W2K
