You visit the other, big, nasty, not-helper-friendly forum, huh? ;)
(yeah, I helped people there, got some negative feedback for doing so... what's wrong with the mods there?)

Changing the code tag would make for less typing but you don't need to type the tags anyway so i can't see why they would want to change or add another vb code tag. Hey don't feel bad i have to use the code tags. No syntax highlighting.

You never have to type any of the tags. (http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=225306&perpage=40&pagenumber=1)

Yes, but I do find it easier to type the tags myself than select, right click, and find the item I want. Also pressing the "VB" button above the entry box doesn't allow multi-line.

So you'd rather do 9 key strokes (in the case of ) than 3?

Yes, because that way I'd never have to leave the keyboard, seach for the mouse, then reposition on the keyboard.

You can use mouse trails or have the control key show you where the mouse is (if you have XP).

No, I mean on my non-virtual desktop, it is easier for me to stay on the keyboard than move around my desk.

I agree with everything Disiance is saying. I like to type the tags rather than use the buttons
