BAT and CMD...

Are there any alternatives to using .BAT and .CMD files on a windows NT pro workstation, i seem to have them both disabled and i reallty need to use on for NET SEND purposes...

Also, i need it to wreak havoc - no just kidding... i need this to stop the havoc, people have found a way to message using NET SEND without .bat or .cmd or command line functions !!! HELP !

You could always stop the Messenger service, but it may affect
other programs or serices that may rely on it.

The windows scripting host can interpret files.JS executed at the command shell.

How do you disable .BAT and CMD from executing? That's a neat trick!

If in the policy you disable the command interperator (CMD.EXE in XP), I think it disables that type of stuff too.

i saw a place to SEND info, but still can't remember where.

They've been disabled via the command control over the network, i have disabled Net.exe... BUT still they manage to do it, these are smarter than average kids i'm sure...

How did you "dsiable" NET.EXE.

Can't they just make a copy of it to something like NET2.EXE and then just run that?

you have to disable the task manager also.
