I am attempting to run an sql statement on an as400 through a dialup connection to its network. We set up an odbc connect to it which works fine. We are trying to write a vb app that uses this connect but it doesnt want to work. The app connects to the as400 but when we execute the command it run and communicates with the db but after about 30 second to a min it comes back and tells me that id cant create the active x object. Any ideas?
