Anyone able to help with this one

I need to add info to a list box. The info consists of an emergency number and a couple of emergency details. The thing is that I would like to be able to keep the stuff in line eg..
    1 Harvey Oswald
    2 Kennedy John
    3 Murphy John

I use a sub to add in the appropriate amount of spaces to make the length of the individual strings to be equal but the actual width still comes out differently because the width of the actual letters are different. Anyone know what Im on about? I thought its cos the text was sans serif but when changed to times new roman it still messed up.
    Thanks in advance
You are living a pacifist dream, and if you dreaming it means you sleeping and you should damn well wake up!

you need to use a non-proportional font like
    Courier or
    Courier New
