I just installed Windows 2000 on another computer, and after installing all the drivers, it started to reboot randomly. Sometimes it'll happen right after login, sometimes I'll get a few minutes.

I was even able to install Norton Antivirus before it rebooted, but I can't scan because it keeps rebooting on me.

I shut off the Automatically Reboot option, and now I get this blue screen:

*** STOP: 0x0000001E (0xC000006, 0xA008D106, 0x00000001, 0x077A674E) KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

*** Address A008D106 base at A0000000 DateStamp 3eb1ec3c - win32k.sys

Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete. Contact your system administrator or technical support group.

I have no idea what this means, but after searching, I found this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q294/7/28.ASP&NoWebContent=1

And it seems I might have a virus...but I'm not sure how to get rid of it. I don't follow that article's resolution.

Any help?

Okay, I don't think that Microsoft article addresses my problem since I am using Win2k Professional, not Win2k Server.

Okay, my video card was the last driver that I installed, so I disabled that and then everything seemed to work fine (except for the crappy resolution and colors).

I ran a virus scan and windows update, and then enabled the video card driver, and everything seems to be working fine again.

So I'm going to guess it was a driver conflict and windows update had a fix for it.

I'll be back if it starts doing it again.
