Help with Ms Access
I am facing a typical problem. I have made a clinical application on VB 6.0 and MS access as backend. Now, at one of the client places, I am not able to open the database(cannot see the table structure). This client was using it for 1.3 years and the databse size exceeded up to 34 MB. Suddenly they were not able to log in to the application. When I wanted to see the data in the table by opening the database, I was not able to do so. MS Access application is opened but I am not able to see any of the tables. Whats the problem? Has it been corrupted. Whats the way out? Pls help.

Compact & Repair?
Have you tried ensuring nobody's using it then doing a compact & repair?
Also, "The Jet compact utility, JETCOMP.exe, is a stand-alone utility that compacts databases created with Microsoft Jet database engine 3.x and 4.x."
Have you tried importing the table into another DB?

If you don't already have a backup of the db, then make one
BEFORE you do anything!!! Then like DaveBo said do a compact
and repair and if you can see the tables after that try exporting
all objects to a new blank db.

Compact of Repair of MS access is not giving any result. I tried some demo versions of Access Repaiir tools. They are able to repair but comes with a cost. Is there any free tool for this.
