Do you mean you were watching a DVD being played on your PC??

Or you were off watching a movie (like on a VCR) and came back to your computer and saw this error?

Did you go to the Norton site and lookup this error to see if it's been reported??

i had a strange error trying to do a Live Update. Using their site, I managed to debug it. What was NAV trying to do, scan the DVD? Maybe it got interrupted or something.

Look it up...

Does anyone else find that suspicious! (me thinks virus....... what a good way to get the virus software of the PC, just long enough to do some more damage) :)

I was watching a movie in my living room, not on my computer. I came back and it said that. I can't even access live update, nor can I even open the norton anti virus. When I open Norton Internet Security, it doesn't show it there anymore. Apparenlty it's b0rked! Dunno why though. THe website says you can open something in the anti virus and fix it, but I can't open the anti virus at all.

if it wasn't disconnected from the internet, disconnect now and reinstall NAV if you can't start it. Better would be to go to their manual download site, and get the newest patterns, to run after you re-install.
Then, scan throughly. I think it is something bad.

otoh, NAV release a patch that required you to manually go to their site to download their WMI patch, whatever that was. I did it on both machines. maybe something went awry there.

Try re-starting to see if that helps.

What do you mean "bad"? You think a virus can mess up my antivirus?

TRY THIS FIRST:

[/url]

IF THAT DOESN'T WORK,

if it was NAV 2004, they suggest the same thing.

most of their error messages have two codes in the bottom left corner of the box. this was the only one relating to NO ERROR CODES

only uninstall and reinstall errors
