Hi,
I have a shareware program and I've been testing several interfaces, but I think I have come up with one I like. You can view it at: http://slimticker.hypermart.net/prev40.gif
I would like some feedback on how you think it looks, and any improvements that I can make.
Thanks!

I like all of it except for the font on the green button in the bottom right hand corner..

I like it.
Though the green looks little harash on form of soft grey color.
Make the green color little softer or change the green to some other color.

Colour of buttons could improve though.

I'm with everyone else. This looks great, but the green has to go... at least in it's current for. What about some shade of blue? Also, I love the interface but only if it is being accessed from the system tray. Overall it looks great though!

Why, I think it's all GREAT!
Only refer the following:
- The titlebar buttons are too small
- The 2 buttons on the bottom-left corner must be green too
- Maybe if you would replace the green in navy-blue it would be an improvement
I think you need more green; like with the two bottom left buttons.
Your app has the theme (as perceived by me) "Mind on my Money and my Money on my Mind".
Also, lose the white background on the bottom panel and make it green like you did in the top panel.
The green color scheme also looks like it could be a person's Palm Pilot or these modern "pagers" that get up-to-the-minute info.
Well Done.

VirtuallyVB,
That's exactly the theme I was going for!
Thank you for all of your input!

Ignore everyone above on the green, most vb programs look dull and plain, this makes the program stand out and makes you want to press the green button.
The symbol and chart type buttons work in grey, but I think you need a font which is not exclusive to them - which appears somewhere else on the form. You might try bolding it or the slim ticker type font.

It looks pretty nice but instead of green use something more suttle like a dark blue and when the mose rolls over it it inverts to a yellow. Then when they click it make it turn a dark(I mean dark) green. Most programs ive seen that have buttons like yours are dull because when you click them they do nothing.
