I'm programming with VB 5.0 an MDI application. Consider next strange behaviour:
timers added to the MDI main window stop working when a message box pops up, if the application is run from the Programming Environment; the same timers keep on working (when the same message boxes pop up), if the application is started from the executable.
Can anybody explain this behaviour?

It is not strange. Timer event won't fire if the MessageBox is poped up.
