Reading User details into Word
I have a problem which I'm struggling with - hoping someone can help!
We have an inordinate problem with staff 'making up' thier own letter template so I want to be able to create a single template that everyone uses which will recover thier details from the user's properties in the Active Directory.
I'm rashly assuming that on the grounds that all the data exists (full name, email address, telephone no, offlice address etc) that I can, some how read & use it. So far all I've been able to get to is the user information in Word & not all the way back to the Active Directory.
I'm using windows 2000 server & a mix of versions of office (97 to XP) although we plan to standardise on Office 2003 immernently, hence the reason for this task.
Any general pointers even would be gratefully received.
Thanks in anticipation.

You may need to try WSH or ADSI to get user information from AD.
Search for each and I think you will find examples of each.
