Proxy..again..again...again
Hi.
I have asked about this a few times, but now I think I have some info which might help you guys help me
I have tried all sort's of methods to download data from the internet, and now I just found out that VB .NET apparently doesn't support SOCKS4 proxies. And that's exactly what we have...
Does anyone know how to use a WebRequest via a SOCKS4 proxy?
I wish I could think of something witty to put in my sig...
...Currently using VS2013...

I'm not sure if Dart Sockets has support for SOCKS4, or if this would be the method you would want to try, but I think it may be worth trying it anyway.
Their forum isn't letting me in at the minute for some reason, so I couldn't check if it had SOCKS4 support. Their stupid search didn't give results for it, or proxy, either...

Hi.
Thanks for the reply. It looks like it might do the job.
But I was hoping there was an "easy" (read:free ) solution to the problem.
I thought it was just a matter of the right settings.
It's strange though, that MS doesn't support Socks?!?
Thank's anyway.
