I'm trying to run an application from A CD-Rom, all the necessary .dlls are one the CD but when i try to play it on older systems it gets an error that the OLEAUT32.DLL is out of date, is there any way to make it read from my CD instead of the computers System folder

You can try registering the dlls and oca that are on the cd. Or simply make a setup file and all of the dlls will be installed on the machine.

the end user didn't want to install it on any PC's, it's a media demo that they're just supposed to put in play and take out, i'm not quite sure on registering the dlls on the host computer without installing the program because the OLEAUT32.DLL is always in use and needs a restart in order to update it
