By popular request here's the latest release of my Matrix program.

I first decided not to release the source because it's just crap and I don't like it. Sure it works but it was put together from scratch in one afternoon and in the sake of fast programming I didn't care about code design and structure but just hacked this thing together. Also there's many things I just added later (eg. the falling down ads / words) and this makes it all unreadable and about none of the code is re-usable (except the standard modules and classes) :)

However, check it out and do with it what you like.
Oh and keep the credits when using my nice modules ;)

Looks to me that he is using DX....without looking at any of the other posts or the code.

What GPU do you have? ANd what version of DX?

Hi there,

I've never programmed, but i'm anciest to learn. If i could do it myself i would, so I was wondering i've you could make an dynamic background with the matrix look for msn messenger.
I hope you don't mind me asking, cause i totally don't know what the behaviour conduct is in programming/forums ,but i was verry impressed seeing you make such a great program. I hav'nt aten yet today so my mind played tricks on me when i activated matrix.exe. Very cool.

Greetings,

Martijn

You shouldn't do this.. DirectX environments are not a good replacement for animated application backgrounds. It would consume too much resources and performance. Do some nice gif, avi, or flash (at max).
