ok i'm gonna go buy a game tomorow, but nt sure which, any got any gud ideas?

i've been thinking about gangland and ut2004, any thoughts on this>?

I've never been a warcraft fan, I got a copy when I bought starcraft back a I while ago and I only really liked starcraft

I've not seen anything on this Gangland, anyone else played it yet? I might look into getting it if it sounds good.

i say ut2004 cause that game really rocks and it is awsome

but then again i havent even heard of gangland. it looked good when i went to a website about it. if you get gangland let us know what its like

ok thanks, gangland only got a review of 3/5 on gamersreview but ut2004 got 4.85

Gangland:
You control gangsters, hire people to protect you and have gun fights. Graphics are nifty, you can get caught up in it.

But the cars collision detection (scraps along kerbs etc) is crap
Plus point, you can duck and throw dynamite sticks. I liked it.

UT2004 - no idea haven't played. Meant to be good though. Fast ??

Mashed ain't too bad, but the camera angles suck occasionally. Fast though and gripping. Somewhat addictive and annoying in places.

Depends what type of games you prefer. FPS try that new operation one that came out..? RTS there is um I can't remember the name, but something 2. I had one and for a while it was great. Bombaring the enemy with a 3 second attack flight time.

I wouldn't read too much into reviews, some people like games that others hate, its all a matter of taste in my opinion. The best way to decide wether to get a game is to see it if a friend has bought it or to just take the risk and buy it. I have loads of rubish games cos of that. Mind I also have some great games I have got by just taking a guess and randomly picking a game.

i bought ut2004 and should be arriving @ my door any minute...literally. I was reading through EGM and saw an advert. for it. it either got a perfect score, or right under the mark. Its a quake3 type of game.....just way better so if you like quake3 this is a must get! even the demo rocks!

Anyway, whilst on lunch I found the titles to the three games...
(RTS)Ground Control: Exodus
(FPS)Joint Operations
(RTS)Soldiers: Heros of war

I played the first Ground control and it was good.
My mate has recommended I get Soldiers (second world war point n click rts) graphics look nifty including a review in one of the mags.
Joint operations.. from the makers of black hawk down.. hmm well I dunno, but looks ok - might need a demo to be sure.
