Any Photo Album Generators? [Mega Resolved]

Can you name a good photo album generator that is free, good, and does not contain spyware?

Also, I've heard that Adobe Photoshop can do this for me. Is this true? If yes, how?

Nobody makes photo albums here? Could it be that our generation is slowly becoming a materialistic one, worrying only about here and now?

Why in the good old days...

I don't think you'll find any which is free, good and free of spyware. You'll have to make this one yourself.

If you have access to a *nix system with Perl, here's something I knocked up for my own use; probably not quite as comprehensive as you'd like, but it does the heavy lifting (automatic thumbnails).

Try this from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopalbum/main.html there is a free version as well, cut down obviously here http://www.adobe.com/products/photos...m/starter.html
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Kodak used to have one whenever you ordered a Photo Disk, which are now Photo CD's. The old one even had a neat option to make a spinning cube with 6 photos in it, that you could spin, and stop to zoom in on one. I think it was even web-ready.
The Photo Disks used to cost $7.95 in addition to the cost of the prints. I have a few old disks laying around somewhere.

    Look what I just found:

Adobe Photoshop > File > Automate > Photo Album.

    How dumb was I?
