Having serious problems... [SOLVED]
I recently had a harddrive crash on me. I recovered it by loading an alternate copy of the registry I made. I reinstalled everything that had been lost (Visual Basic was one of the programs I had lost) and now it says "Object library not registered" when I try to load the MS Common Controls library. I tried running regsvr32 on it, registering it that way, it said it had succeeded, but I'm still getting that error. Can anybody help me out here?

Hi
I had the same problem, when i removed some additional components from my computer. What i did was to install VB 6.0 Completely, so that it re-instates all the missing components and the Service Pack from Microsoft. I think this would be wise, because now you are in need of Comm controls. May be you have lot of other controls that are having this problem. If your source code is safe, then adopt this method.

It seems I'm having problems with everything right now, but that's another issue. I will try what you suggested once I get everything sorted.

Thanks for the help, I was so busy dealing with everything else that I didn't even think to download SP6 for Visual Studio. Hopefully this problem will stay fixed. Apparently, a viral attack was responsible for my harddrive problems, but luckily I happened to have a week-old backup of my registry files, else I really would've been up s*** creek.
