help needed please ?

i constructed a new database with visual data manager...i made an table and about 20 fields....i imported everything into the program but it won't save anything to the database ?
i can type and type but the program won't register the changes i make to the database....

If i go back to visual data manager at the field entries it says :

dataupdatable=FALSE

when i click it the program responds with :

dataupdatable property is read only !

where or how do i make the database to where it will save the changes to the database ?

You might check into the type of database you're using, because some databases have a feature where you can make it impossible to write to the database. I don't know what kind of database you are using, or I might be able to help you out more. But that's what I would check first.
