Scary, quickly glancing over this, I misread the above for Chewbacca, would have been even worse!

Perhaps Chupacabras are cousins of Griffins, having evolved from a common ancestor. Perhaps they are survivors from Atlantis (Who knows what kind of animals were there?).
Before our space program orbited the moon, there was a colony of aliens on the far side. Not wanting to be seen, they moved their colony to Alpha Centauri. Perhaps the Chupacabras were marooned on earth when that colony evacuated in a hurry.

They found the remains of a what? What on earth IS one of them?
(Sounds like Bob Newhart on the phone to Walter Raleigh- "You spilt your what, Walt?" Pause. "What's coffee, Walt?"
Pause. "A drink you make from BEANS?")
But then the average vb-forumer is probably wondering who Bob Newhart was. Not to mention Walter Raleigh. :)
Anyway, Bye.

Chupar = to suck, to sip, to absorb, to puff at, to bleed, to drink, to lick, to swallow.
Cabra = goat, sheep.
Chupa-Cabras = Sheep Bleeder, Sheep Sucker. A mithological animal wich is said to suck the blood of farm (or wild?) animals.

You got it in one Juan Carlos Rey; another name for the Chupacabras is "Grizzly Goad Sucker". Some believe that the Chupacabras was an experiment by the US government i.e. changing and creating genetics.
