Recalcitrant PDW prompts for disk on install

Of several problems, I have packaged into one cab file on our network, then deployed to another directory. Clicking on the exe file causes a message box to pop up "Please insert disk". Any clues? Many thanks.
PS this is the first app I have tried, so assume I know nothing.
