If generating a select statement brings back an error (ie. it won't do anything for you while using the wizard), is it POSSIBLE that a setting on the DB server could be preventing the use of ado.net technology? I have had no luck creating an adapter and I suspect our db server is the culprit but I wouldn't know where to look if so.
