Question [RESOLVED] Getting "Book1" back !

As I test my app I sometimes end up in the situation where the default Excel workbook becomes "Book 2" or "Book 3" etc.

I presume this is due to Excel not finishingly cleanly ... fine .. I will sort that out.

But after killing off all Excel processes in Task Manager, I still have "Book 2" as my default workbook when I start Excel.

I'm presuming that this value is held in the registry somewhere.

Can anyone tell me if this is true, or how to get "Book 1" back as my default workbook on startup.

I know rebooting my PC will sort my problem out, but thats a pain in the a*s as I have loads of stuff open and this PC takes AGES to reboot !

    Thanks in advance ....

If you go to the registry using Regedit.exe and navigate to the hive -
    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Excel" you
will find a key (MTTT) that only appears when Excel is running.
This may contain the information you need to modify if your
system is not releasing the data on the close of excel.

Ok, just confirmed that when another instance of Excel is started
another length of binary data is added the the MTTT key.
