Where in the registry are the security settings for IE stored. To be precise, I need the security settings for Active X on a local intranet.
I have looked and looked, bu tI can't find them.

Perhaps www.winguides.com will be able to shed some light on their location.

Unforunately not. I tried searching their forums and they did have that question, but no answer to it.
If anyone already is a member, can you ask the question again please? I don't like signing up to things where I don't think I'll stay a member. Sign-up-for-one-time-use-stuff-phobia.

Try running "RegMon" (www.sysinternals.com), then change the setting in IE and see what entries are being modified :)

OK, thanks, I think I've got it now. And thanks for that link.
If anyone wants to know, I'm pretty sure they're stored here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\SO
At least on WinXP Pro
