Hello !
At first congratulations for the excellent forum !
It is the best and largest VB forum on the web !
I have a suggestion:
why don't you gather all the knowledge that is being shared
into an organized structure with categories etc.
You could even sell a CD with answers , or write a book.
This would both have a huge success and would be most useful.

You can use the suggestions forum for this it'll probably be moved there soon.
I didn't know this is the largest VB Forum on the web though. Is it? What about that 'other' vb forum... the 'extreme' one?

I'd run before the villagers find their pitchforks.

Not as old as this one. But I think they have more active members. If you can call it active. It's more like a SECT...:D
But I have 4 times more posts here then there, so I will stay here untill I die. And there is much nicer persons here too...:D

Humm, how do I know thats you ;), you could have just searched. That account only has 10 posts  so (if it is yours ;)) then you posted 10 posts in 1999 then 3 years later come back and post millions.
I don't think anyone would buy the book, especially when they could us ethe search on this forum and find the same stuff. It would be better to bring VBWorkd back from the dead :D. (And none of that archived stuff) :D:D.

You guys did drive the original topic of this tread right over a cliff.....
TO bring it back on top, we've done books based on sites and forums. There is a book out now called CodeGuru.com's Visual C++ Goodies. It sells okay, but not well enough to justify doing another similar book based on a site. As such, I think it would be hard pressed to get a book publisher to publish a book in the same manner again. Granted, we also have an HTML Goodies book that did really good and it was based off of www.htmlgoodies.com. I don't believe that book has been selling as well in the past year or two either. As it was stated, it is just as easy to get the information online.
By the way, I give away a copy or two of the CodeGuru Visual C++ Goodies book each month to one of the people who posts an article on CodeGuru.

Actually I believe I have sent a copy to Mongolia already. We've had people get choosen from all around the world. The local post office finds it interesting when I show up to mail things :).
We do mail them ground, so it takes four to twelve weeks for the books to get to places like Mongolia.

Not sure what the manner was, but you could give www.lulu.com a try.
