Converting Access 97 to Access 2000 Professional using VB6

I have an application that has been running for the last year using access 97. Recently we purchased Office 2000 professional and converted our database file. However when attempting to run the program VB6 says runtime error 3343 unrecognized data base format. Do I need to do something to VB6 or did something go wrong with the conversion. Thanks Joe
