Hi does anyone know of any code that will work out the reactions of simply supported beams, ive already worked out bending moments at supports but having difficulty with the reactions
cheers in advance

For a simply supported beam of length L feet, with a concentrated weight of weight W lbs, located at a distance d feet from the left support, and an evenly distributed weight of p lbs/ft, starting at a distance x1 from the left support, and stopping at a distance x2, the general equations for the left and right support reactions are:
Right Reaction = W*d/L + p*(x2-x1)*(x1+x2)/(2*L)
Left Reaction =W*d + p*(x2-x1) - Right Reaction
Now, as to coding the above, you shouldn't have any trouble, I would think.
