using images in menu

Hi all,

I'm working on a slide menu. I'm using the sliding_menu.js to create the menu and this works fine. Now I want to use gifs instead of the text displayed in the menu.
Can anyone help me on this one.

I apologise for the crappy (but awesome looking :)) gif file i added to the solution. You can have smaller ones :p
