Anybody know the actual size for the Windows 98 folders? Are they 32x32, 16x16 or other
Cheers

Why in hell would you won't to do that???
Often icon files have icons in serveral formats 48x48 for large icons 32x32 for normal size ans 16x16 for the icons you see in the task bar.
When you create the ICO file its similar to creating a GIF. I've never done this before but I found a tutorial which may shed some light on the subject:

yeah, i know all about icons, glyphs, alpha blended etc, jus wanted to know its size, unless they are layered.
Why, because Windows 98 looks boring, XP are pretty

It's 32x32, Windows 98 can't do 48x48 I think. I know it can't do 32-bit icons so you'll have to 'dumb' them down to 256 and loose the alpha channel.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

I think the icons are layered, not too sure though. I know however that one icon file can often contaiin the icon in several different formats.

Well for some reason i have my display modes color depth set to 32bit, 16bit makes transparency show opaque.
Maybe i could make my own folder icons, as long as they are 32x32.
Cheers
