INFO: Using CR9 instead of CR for Visual Studio .NET

I have VS .NET 2003 PRO with the Crystal Report that comes with it. I have been trying to figure out for almost half a day how to use my full version CR9 instead. I got this information from CR website but I can't figure out how to rerun CR9 in repair mode since when I run SETUP, I only have "ADD/REMOVE", "REMOVE ALL", and "REINSTALL" button option.

I tried REINSTALL but that did not work. So I went to "ADD/REMOVE" and under the "Developer Components" I enabled install for ".NET" and that did it (see image attached).

To find out if you are successful, in the "ABOUT PAGE" of your VS IDE, you should see "Crystal Report 9 for Visual Studio .NET".

After updating my CR with CR9, I'm getting an error placing a crystalviewer control on a web form.

    I'm getting this error:

    Failed to create designer 'CrystalDecisions.VSDesigner.WebReportViewerDesigner, CrystalDecisions.VSDesigner, Version=9.2.3300.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"
I've been trying to resolve this issue already for more than 3 hours. CR website has no help. Tried all other web tips.

Here is what I got from Crystal Email support:

I want to confirm the version of Crystal Reports 9 you have. The original version does not work with VS NET 2003. Browse the crystal reports CD, do you see a redist folder and "dotNet" folder? If you don't have this folder, then this tells me that you have an older version. If this is the case, then I can make a disk request on your behalf. Please kindly confirm the shipping address.
My installer does not have the "dotnet" folder so I may very well have the original version. I just hope this solves the problem.

I'll keep you guys posted for any developments.

Got the CD yesterday and installed it today. Yup, that fixed the problem alright so I'm ready to roll!
