hello,

recently i was deliberated which edition of crystal reports should i buy.

my goal is to create reports and distirbute them with my applications.

the client will recieve compiled rpt's files and will use my application to print them.

i emailed Seagate distributor and recieved the following response.

Please reply if you understand whether i can use the "Developer edition " or most buy the "Advanced Developer edition" :

Thank you for your email and interest in Crystal products.

Please note that you can distribute .rpt files with Crystal roducts.
End users can then print the reports. The Professional edition will be sufficient for this.

but, if you will integrate Crystal into another application or use any rogramming languages, you will need at least the DEVELOPER edition.

Should you then decide that you would like to deploy the reports, then you would need the Advanced Developer Edition of Crystal Reports 10.
