    Finding the center of a triangle? .:Resolved:.

    Hello everyone, i'm trying to calculate the x coordinate of the cente rof mass of this object. The object is a triangle with a rectangle attached to it so it loooks like

    yes i know thats a weak drawing but it will have to do.
    well i found the center of mass of the metal plate, but i have no idea, how to figure out the center of that triangle, the triangle is
    5 meters in height and 9 meter's long.
    the rectangle is 5 meters high and 1 meter long
    so my equation looks like this:
    [5(.5) + 22.5(center of triangle)]/(5+22.5)]

    any idea's? Thanks
